The company has a large fleet of delivery vehicles including boom and on the job forklift services. The delivery fleet is on the go all day, making free deliveries within 50 miles of our 3 stores. Deering Lumber also has a team of salesmen on the road all day, visiting job sites and providing the expertise required to get jobs done in a quality fashion. The salesmen are backed by a broad inventory of all types of lumber and building materials, and a support staff who can provide additional service.Our staff of buyers are always searching the market for new or better products to continue supplying our professional customers with the highest quality building materials available.
There are two ways we can provide additional security on your account. First, we can flag your account so a purchase order number is required before any charge is made. The second type is where you give us a list of people who are authorized to charge on your account. Our clerks need to verify who is placing the order before any charge is made.
We are a drop point for a reliable sharpening service. Turnaround is only a few days and prices are very reasonable.
Blueprints can be copied at a nominal cost.
Boom and Forklift Delivery Trucks
We have truck mounted lifts that can unload lumber, plywood, shingles, block, cement, etc., onto the job site. There is no additional fee for this service, however it will need to be scheduled in advance.

Our stores stock a broad selection of products, to promote efficiency and convenience for our contractors. We select products to meet consistent high standards.

We offer in house business credit services. Construction project financing is available to qualified customers, please contact our credit manager. If we are able to deliver on our regular schedule there is no delivery fee in York & Cumberland Counties. (Island deliveries are available for a fee) We have many trucks of various sizes to efficiently handle your material.
Home Drafting Services
Planning is essential to quality construction. We schedule plan drafting with a variety of independent draftsman to meet your schedule. We have negotiated favorable rates which we pass on to our customers. Costs for this service are rebated back to the material purchaser at a rate of 1% of materials toward the cost of plans. We retain the original plans in our files for your future use.
Want to have a separate statement for a specific job? No problem, just give our bookkeeping office a call and they will establish a “sub account” for you. This can really save some valuable time when sorting the invoices and trying to bill your clients.

Material Takeoffs & Estimating
We are happy to review your list and provide costs of materials. Material takeoffs from your plans are also available. In some cases there is a nominal charge for takeoff services. If we are fortunate enough to be chosen to supply material for your new house or addition, then the cost of your takeoff will be credited back to you.

We welcome special orders. A large part of our business is in the form of special orders. Most millwork items only take a couple days to bring in. For standard millwork items or even hard to find specialty items our trained staff will ask you the necessary questions to assure correct product ordering. Many contractors come to us for special orders because of the technical expertise required to get them right and because we work closely with manufactures to stand behind our products.
We operate a full service contractor tool rental and repair department in our Biddeford store. Items such as: insulation blowers, nailers for floors, walls and roofs, drills, diggers, tillers, saws, sanders, metal breaks, splitters, compressors, generators, heaters, cement and mortar, mixers, slate cutters, hand carts, jacks, column cutters, safety equipment, staging, and more…
We offer in house repair service for most power tools in our Biddeford location. Turnaround can be quick depending on the problem. For other tools we use several authorized tool repair shops, depending on the tool and type of problem.
